Love Hanoi is a campaign to inspire and mobilize individual, corporate and public initiatives for the benefit of the city.
Many expatriates are rich in expertise, knowledge and resources. While in Hanoi, why not help the city as well as enjoy the city? Will the city be a better place because you have been here?
We expatriates arrive in Hanoi for different reasons. Some were sent by corporations, embassies, and organizations to advance their mission and goals. Others have come to experience a different culture, change their pace of life, or pursue an international career. Still others came with altruistic motives to provide aid, education, or economic development. The one thing we have in common: we all live, work, and shop in Hanoi!
We may complain that life here is different, but there is a lot to love about Hanoi. We love Hanoi because of it’s unique architecture, bustling culture, friendly people, and quirky encounters. But we ask the question: do we love Hanoi only because it benefits us? Can we love the city for the benefit of the people of Hanoi? The Love Hanoi campaign wants to inspire you to collaborate together for the benefit of the city.
There are many activities and initiatives taking place in Hanoi that you can join to benefit the disadvantaged and the city. Together we can do more!
Love Hanoi envisions increased collaboration between the public, private and social sector of society. International corporations, non-profit organizations, and government institutions can strengthen collaboration for the common good.
Are you ready to share your time, resources, home, expertise, knowledge, or presence? Why not invest it in those who could benefit greatly from it? In Hanoi there are many organizations who would love your help.
We have launched this web site to connect ideas for service with people as well as to share stories from those who have already done so. Here are a few ideas to get started:
· Your corporation would like to connect with a non-profit organization for a fund-raising event
· You would like to pass on your work expertise to help disadvantaged students
· You want to buy products made by the handicapped for income generation
· You would love to spend time regularly with orphaned and foster children
Love Hanoi is promoted by City Partners, the charity arm of the Hanoi International Fellowship.
